A great question, Steve! You came to the right place. One very valuable resource used by jet modellers the world over is our bimonthly magazine, RC Jet International, which covers all aspects of jet modelling. We have various jet articles in the ‘Air’ section which are drawn from those pages.
Another valuable resource is our library of DVD titles, many of which are available for online streaming. A good place to start would be ‘Jet Pilot, an Introduction to Jet Model Flying’, presented by Ali Machinchy - a world expert famous for his amazing flying displays at shows all over the UK.
The other thing to make sure is that your insurance is up to date with the BMFA, and do pay a visit to your nearest jet specialist as there is no substitute for getting your hands on the real thing.
